Conversation-my mind and shadow

In the morning when I was waiting at the bus stop, I saw my shadow. I got very different feeling about my shadow. I felt that my shadow was trying to compete with me. Then I thought how it could be possible, it is my shadow. In few minutes I realized my mind have started to look for the facts to prove me better than my shadow. It was insane, but I found that I was trying to compete with my shadow. This poem is a glimpse of conversation occurred between my mind and shadow.

You and me, both are same,

But you are more close to ground,

And I am still making efforts,

So I can also be easily found,

You are more limber than me,

You can change with time,

But I am not, I am bounded,

And I have to change this fact,

So I can also celebrate the freedom,

With the things, I have surrounded,

There is difference between us,

Even you are better than me,

But you can’t last forever,

You are dependent on the light,

You don’t have any existence in the night,

But I exist whether it’s day or night,

I can’t be vanished by anything,

I am not an illusionary dream,

I always belong to reality,

I am the part of flowing stream,

Who is better between us?

Don’t know the answer,

We are not apart but also not same,

It’s difficult to make a choice,

In most cases, we have same voice,

I don’t have any resentment for you,

You are also mine,

I promise I will hold your hand again,

Don’t worry and allow yourself to get mingle with night,

I will find you again when the light comes,

Till then just go and sleep, I think there is no need to have a fight.
